Blessed Are the Peacemakers In his sermon on the mount Jesus was quoted as saying (Matthew 5:9): "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Islam means also Peace: peace between the Creator and the worshiper. Jesus could not mean his mission as peacemaker as he did not come for peace. (Matthew 10:34-36): "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
